What makes a great executive office?

The key to any good office space is the scheme and furniture selected. Below we’ll go through some of the key things to think about when designing your executive office space.

Space

At Leicester office furnishers, we’ve seen so many different spaces, we know how to design for the space and budget that you have. We can create space planning CAD’s and potentially 4D CAD’s with selected furniture.

Its important to chose the right sized furniture for your space. Order furniture that’s too big for your room, and you can instantly make the room feel tight and smaller than it actually is. This also works the other way, order furniture that’s too small for your room and it could look lost and empty.

Ensure that you include enough storage solutions. If you need to file private documents away, consider a filing unit that is lockable (most are now anyway but check when asking) Do you need your desk to include storage of some kind? Your typical executive desk is a corner desk. A lot of the executive desks come with storage, some don’t. So don’t always expect it, please double check.

Desk

When selecting your desk, discuss how you like to work. For example, would you like a sit stand desk? Move and Lead is one of our beautiful sit stand executive desks which is part of a larger range of furniture from Narbutas. A distinct feature of Move executive furniture is its mature and minimalist design. Clean, elegant lines, smooth transitions and subtle combinations of materials are guaranteed to make a strong visual impact in any office. The move and lead desk comes in a variety of finishes including, HPL Fenix finish, natural oak, ash or walnut veneer and polished stainless steel surfaces form a harmonious whole and create a sense of subtle luxury.

Executive Chair

The Chair you sit in for all of your day to day tasks is probably one of the most important parts of your office. Don’t feel like you have to get an ‘executive office chair’ because of its name. The most important thing is that the chair is supportive and comfortable. At Leicester office furnishers, we pride ourselves on our knowledge of ergonomic chairs and even offer a free chair fitting service to ensure you are sat correctly at your desk. Sitting with the correct posture can decrease any aches and pains that you may suffer with, but also increase productivity and wellbeing. Contact our team today to find out how we could quite literally change your attitude towards your desk space by replacing one piece of office furniture.

We work with a great array of suppliers to bring you high quality office chairs in different shapes and sizes. Most of our office chairs can be upholstered in the same if not similar fabrics to other soft furnishings in the same room.

Soft Furnishings

Whatever your preferred style is, the furniture should always be the highest quality. Unfortunately, at this level of the business, the employees/ bosses don’t always work set hours. An armchair in the corner of the room not only looks nice, but is comfortable. Use it to make phone calls, pair with a small side table so you are able to take notes.

A coffee table and a set of comfortable upholstered furniture can be placed one side of the office space to create a more homely area. The Bodie range below is a top choice for a luxurious sofa set in an executive office space. Select co ordinating fabrics across the office space that also link with wall decor choices. Select art from a gallery or have your business branding put on the walls with any certificates and achievements.

Accessories

A space can be made more welcoming with accessories. Select desk top stationary that compliments your design scheme. Plants are a great way to accessorise in any room, bringing the outside in is more and more popular in the office space. Use different size planters to gather plants together in a corner. Couple up with a plant on the coffee table on top of a book for that ‘extra’ look.

Does the space need warming up? Add a rug under a coffee table/ meeting table to bring warmth to the room. Add some cushions to the sofa in a printed fabric to give extra depth to your space.
