The Situation

Armstrong’s Accountants first approached us when they were moving their Nuneaton offices to a new building also within central Nuneaton.

Client Requirements

Armstrongs wanted us to help with their space-planning as the building was quite an awkward shape to work with and they wanted to maximise how many desk spaces they could fit in. In addition, with Armstrongs being an accountancy firm, storage was paramount due to the amount of bookkeeping kept on file

Our Solution

Leicester Office Furnishers made a site visit to take measurements and discuss what was needed from the new office space and what office furniture products we could potentially use. Following this meeting, plans were created giving Armstrongs various options as to how the desks could be laid out. The space-planning included one large open plan office, separate individual offices and a storeroom, all to be kitted out with new office furniture. Once the final plan and products were decided upon, the Leicester Office Furnishers team delivered and installed all of the new office furniture ready for Armstrongs moving date. The new office furniture included white office desks, white steel under-desk pedestals and white double door storage units from UK manufacturer Hawk, fabric desk mounted screens were used between desks and mesh back operator chairs with a white frame were used at each workstation, these were from Air Seating another UK manufacturer. Armstrongs were pleased with the overall look of their new office and since Leicester Office Furnishers have used the same furniture ranges within their Coventry office and Hinckley office.

Office Storage Solutions

At both the Hinckley and Nuneaton storage was required and due to the size of the rooms it was suggested that we use a mixture of tall and desk height lockable storage solutions from Hawk. Under desk lockable pedestals were supplied for every workspace also providing individuals with somewhere to store personal files.

With so many versions of chairs available, we went down the route of selecting one with a white frame from Air seating to compliment the white furniture these office chairs had a mesh back which are great for air flow whilst working. When rooms are small, it’s important to keep schemes as light and airy as possible. Ensuring natural light can get into office spaces can improve your employees wellbeing, Armstrongs opted for crisp, white office furniture with contrasting grey desk mounted fabric screens. Screens are not just good for dividing spaces they also help with sound absorption especially important in open plan offices, something to consider when designing your own office space.

The Result

Staff at Armstrong’s have since commented saying how much nicer it is to work with the new office furniture. It not only feels better when you walk into a bright space, but boosting staff moral is very important. If your employees are happy at work, they are more than likely going to be more productive.
