Space

We were asked to create spaces suitable for all businesses to gather with staff, with appealing breakout spaces. Breakout spaces on each floor were created using a variety of colours and pieces of furniture.

Colours

Colours were selected to reflect the seaside. Bright yellow, aqua, blue, orange and greys were used to ensure the space felt fresh and inviting. We incorporated geometric prints on the sofas to bring some of the colours together, this created another texture into the space. Both stools and chairs were selected in a mix and match fashion, meaning if some were moved on a daily basis, it didn’t matter.

Breakout

The majority of the spaces designed are now being used for breakout areas. A breakout space is a great time to become creative with shapes and colours. The Ocee modular ‘wave’ sofa adds a softer aspect to the design. If you put too many right angles together spaces can look very structured and too formal. Adding curves, is softer to the eye, and therefore more inviting.

It was important to incorporate areas that relaxed meetings can take place. We selected high back booths that seat up to 4 people at a time. These booths have become increasingly popular after the pandemic.

High tables are considered to be informal compared to a lower desk, these were added to the space along with the additional option of a whiteboard, so smaller meetings and catch’s up could take place.

Silverline lockers were selected as they offer such an amazing array of colours we could select 3 colours from our scheme. Instead of the locker wall looking boring and grey, this design pulls the colour scheme in together.

Meeting Rooms

The meeting rooms in this building can be booked out and used by any of the companies hiring spaces, therefore they needed to be multifunctional. As you can see from the moodboards, flip top tables were suggested to give that flexibility. Chairs were matched back to the colour scheme using the orange, yellow, and blue.

Study Carrells

At Leicester Office Furnishers, we think everyone should have a space for private conference calls, or regular phone calls. A room for study carrells was added to the design to give employees there own space. Monitor arms come with the study carrells, however can be removed if needed. The formation of study carrells can vary depending on the size of the room.
