Geosynthetics Hinckley, New Office Furniture

How it all began

Leicester Office Furnishers were contacted by Geosynthetics when they had committed to a large new build office just off the A5 in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Geosynthetics were wanting to source new office furniture for their office move and wanted Leicester Office Furnishers to help with sourcing the furniture, providing space-planning for the new (predominantly open plan) office space and eventually supply and fit the furniture.

The Method

Leicester Office Furnishers provided Geosynthetics with a few different options to consider with regards to both the office layout and also the office furniture specification. As part of the process when selecting furniture we visited office furniture manufacturer Senator’s showroom based in Birmingham. By visiting Senator’s showroom, Geosynthetics were able to see and try the furniture out, it helped with selecting which ranges to go for, which finishes to go for and also gave them some new furniture ideas that they perhaps hadn’t thought of before.

Open Plan Office Furniture

Senator’s Torasen Freeway bench desks were supplied throughout the first floor open office space – the views from this first floor office are incredible! The Freeway bench desks were chosen due to their simple yet effective design, they have a simple leg design, scalloped back for cable management and were additionally fitted with dual monitor arms, under-desk single drawers and desk mounted screens.

Leicester office chair manufacturer MDK were chosen for the office chairs, Geosynthetics had an Axent chair as a sample chair to try at their office and it worked really well for them, the Axent chairs have a modern mesh back, adjustable lumbar panel, seat slide (seat depth adjustment) and multi-functional arms making them easily adjustable for lots of different users.

 

Meeting Room/Training Room Furniture

Furniture was also needed for Geosynthetic’s meeting rooms/training rooms. To keep them flexible and adaptable both now and in the future, Senator modular flip-top tables were decided upon. The same style and size were used throughout the meeting rooms enabling them to be inter-changed in the future. All meeting chairs through were also matching.

 

Kitchens

Geosynthetics wanted to add to the useable space within the kitchen areas so we were commissioned to add some additional worksurface, we managed to match what the builders had already supplied and add a breakfast bar area again offering more flexibility in the future either by kitting out with stools or keeping it clear to use for buffets etc.

 

Reception

To give visitors to the new Hinckley office some direction when arriving on-site, Geosynthetics decided to add a reception desk. The chosen reception desk was simple yet effective, it wasn’t huge but big enough for the space, it featured curved ends, a raised front and was finished in a crisp white laminate, it was ideal for any future furniture additions such as seating to this space.

 

The Outcome

Leicester Office Furnishers successfully delivered all furniture on-time and within budget. Geosynthetics have a lovely new office space which they say they are extremely happy with
